Jeff and Sandy Grub

Sandy and Jeff have been involved with Palau for twenty-five years including serving as the fundraising chairs for a festival in Portland, Oregon. Jeff has been involved in volunteer roles with City Serve and TogetherPDX in Portland. Both Sandy and Jeff have been counselors at many Palau festivals throughout the U.S.

Sandy and Jeff met at Stanford University and graduated in 1975. The following year, Sandy earned a teaching certificate from the University of California at Berkeley and then taught elementary school for three years before staying home to raise children. Sandy has been writing for several years, and her debut middle-grade novel was released in April of 2024.

Jeff earned a master’s in business administration from the Stanford Business School in 1978 and spent most of his career in financial services. He retired from Wells Fargo in 2017 and serves as a trustee with the MJ Murdock Charitable Trust. Sandy currently serves on the board of World Vision U.S. and Jeff serves on the board of Generous Giving. Sandy and Jeff have both lived most of their lives in the Portland, Oregon area. They have three married sons and five grandchildren. In their free time, Sandy and Jeff enjoy hiking, cycling, travel, skiing, fishing, and reading.
